The first trees are starting to blossom here, so I took a walk with the macro lens to capture some of them.

Instead of using my mirrorless camera and macro lens, I used one of my favorite, simple accessories: a 10x “macro” lens which clips over the lenses on my iPhone. Many companies sell them and there’s a wide variety of cost, quality, and complexity for clip-on phone lenses. My favorite is the Apexel 100mm clip-on macro lens; it is not expensive, good quality, and clips onto the phone with a simple clip that works with most cases instead of requiring a special phone case. I’ve had mine for over two years and have hundreds of images from it.

Today was another fun, successful photo outing with the Apexel and the iPhone.
