A few weeks ago I had some time off work and decided to spend it wandering around one of my favorite places, Pike Place Market in downtown Seattle. As an added bonus, I had a new 35mm manual-everything lens for my camera that really brought out the deep colors and moody lighting of the market.
The flower stalls were filled with beautiful dahlias and other seasonal flowers
I always like to stop for a bit of local honey
My favorite local skin care booth has added some beautiful herbal soaps
For the bread and pasta lovers, these balsamic vinegars and olive oils taste as good as they look
A few stalls were selling freshly made lavender products, and they smelled amazing
Farther down the arcade was a stall with beautiful handmade socks, gloves, and skeins of alpaca yarn
For anyone who bought too many wonderful things, there were Pike Place Market themed shopping bags available to help carry it all
Heading back up towards the main arcade, the neon lights and signs created a warm cozy glow
With the market full of fabulous food, there’s no shortage of options for lunch
Some of the restaurants were busy, but others were an oasis of quiet in the crowded market
